Terms of use
What we are. VettedHome is an independent UK home-services comparison and introducer service. We help you find a vetted installer or trade and, where you ask, introduce your enquiry to them. We are not a trade, an installer or a lender, and we are not party to any contract you enter into with a trade. The work, the quote and the contract are between you and the trade.

Who we are
VettedHome is operated by Best Business Loans Ltd (company number 16833937), registered office Cust Hall, Toppesfield, Halstead, Essex CO9 4EB, ICO registration ZC151816. It is an independent comparison and introducer service, not a trade, installer or lender.
Acceptance and changes
By using this site you accept these terms. We may update the site, its tools and these terms from time to time; the version on this page applies, and the "last reviewed" date shows when it last changed.
Information, not professional advice
Our guides, comparisons and explainers are general information to help you understand home improvement work and choose between trades and installers. They are not personal trade, building, structural, surveying, legal or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for a survey, a professional assessment or a written quote for your specific property. Where we cite a figure, grant value or standard we name the source, such as gov.uk, MCS or the Energy Saving Trust, but you should rely on a qualified professional for decisions about your home.
How the introducer service works
Where you ask, we introduce your enquiry to one or more vetted trades or installers so they can contact you and, if you wish, quote for the work. That trade is responsible for the survey, the quote, the work and the contract they offer, on their own terms. Our vetting checks a trade against the relevant registers and standards at the time of the check, but it is not a guarantee of the quality, safety, price or outcome of any work, and it does not replace your own checks. Always confirm a trade's current accreditation, insurance and your own eligibility before any work starts, and get everything agreed in writing.
No warranty on third-party work
We do not carry out any installation or trade work and we give no warranty, endorsement or guarantee in respect of any trade, installer, product, quote or work arranged through an introduction. Any dispute about the work done, its quality, its price or the contract is between you and the trade concerned.
Advertising and introducer income
We may be paid a fee by a trade or installer when we introduce an enquiry to them, and some links may be advertising or affiliate links. This does not change the price you pay and it does not influence our editorial view or which options we cover. How we make money is set out in more detail on the site.
Acceptable use
Please use the site fairly. Do not scrape or republish our content commercially without permission, submit false or misleading enquiries, introduce malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to or interfere with the operation of the site.
Intellectual property
The content on VettedHome belongs to, or is licensed to, Best Business Loans Ltd unless stated otherwise. You may quote brief extracts with attribution and a link back. Any other reproduction or commercial use requires our written permission.
Links to other sites
Where we link to external sites, trades and sources, we do so for your convenience and are not responsible for their content or practices.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it is provided on an "as is" basis. You act on the information at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss arising from acting on it or from any work carried out by a trade you were introduced to. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Data protection
We handle personal data in line with UK data protection law. See our privacy notice for details and your rights.
Complaints and governing law
If you have a question or complaint, see the contact page or our trust centre. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
