Privacy policy

VettedHome is an independent introducer. When you make an enquiry, we use the details you give us to match you to a small number of vetted trades who can quote, and we share those details only with them. We do not sell your number to dozens of firms or to cold-call diallers. This page explains who is responsible, what we collect, and your rights.

Who operates this site

VettedHome is operated by Best Business Loans Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16833937), registered office Cust Hall, Toppesfield, Halstead, Essex, CO9 4EB. The company is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under reference ZC151816 and is the data controller for this site.

Enquiry details and how they are shared

If you submit an enquiry, we collect the details you provide, such as the work you need, your location and your contact details, so we can introduce you to trades that can help. As an introducer, the purpose of your enquiry is for us to pass those details to a small number of vetted local trades so they can contact you with a quote. We limit how many trades each enquiry reaches. We do not sell your details to unrelated parties or to cold-call diallers. The trades we introduce you to are separate businesses and become responsible for the details we pass to them; ask them for their own privacy policy.

Analytics

If you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we may use tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand which pages are read and where people get stuck, with IP addresses anonymised. We use this only to improve the site. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site works exactly the same.

Cookies and consent

Analytics and advertising signals stay denied until you accept them, using Google Consent Mode. You can change your mind by clearing cookies in your browser to be asked again. See the cookies page for detail.

International transfers

Some of our processors (for example Cloudflare, Google and, depending on region, our database and email providers) may process personal data outside the UK and European Economic Area. Where they do, we rely on an adequacy decision or on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, together with appropriate technical safeguards, so your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep your data

We keep enquiry details only as long as needed to make the introduction and handle any follow-up, and then in line with our legal obligations, after which they are deleted. You can ask us to delete your details at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
